Catalyst Community’s 38th Kids’ Expo!

By Valerie Kelly

Catalyst Community recently hosted the 38th annual Kids’ Expo at El Dorado County Fairgrounds on April, 22nd. After facing two Covid years, there was such a great turnout with 74 community exhibitors. Carol Thomas, Senior Nutrition Manager from our Cameron Park Office, comments on the success of the event.

“We only had a drive-by event last year and it wasn’t quite the same as seeing everyone together again.”

Families had the opportunity to spin a wheel for fun prizes and fun tattoos while learning more about the programs and resources Catalyst Community provides in the area.

The event also featured Catalyst Camps, now enrolling for summer camp nearby for School Aged children in El Dorado Hills. There were fun activities for the entire family at the booth including drawing, planting, and building blocks. To learn more about Catalyst Camps, visit: https://catalyst-camps.org/

There were spectacular performances by local dance studios, local food vendors, and hands-on activities for children. It was such a great way to showcase what we do while learning about local businesses, community resources, and agencies!

A special thank you to Choosing Childcare 101, Tumble Time Gymnastics, and El Dorado Community HUBS. Our sponsors help to keep this event free so families can come out and have some fun!
Catalyst Community was later presented with a Certificate of Recognition for bringing community resources and activities together for the 38th annual Kids’ Expo event by Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil, California State Senate District 4.
