A Catalyst Parent’s Story of Support and Peace of Mind
Isabela wears two hats, she’s a customer service representative at Catalyst, and more importantly, a mom.
Like many working parents, she faced the daily challenge of balancing a full-time job with the need to ensure her son was in a safe, enriching environment. That balance became a lot easier the day she enrolled her son in the Infant and Toddler program at Catalyst Kids.
“Since enrolling my son, I’ve noticed such a positive change in his behavior,” she shares. “The program gives him enrichment I can’t provide as a full-time working parent.”
But it wasn’t just about finding childcare. It was about finding the right care.
“It also allows him to be around children his age and develop friendships—as well as his own personality,” Isabela says. “He comes home excited every day to show me what he’s been working on.”
“It gives me a sense of relief that I can go to work guilt-free. I know he’s happy, safe, and thriving.”
Her story reflects a growing need in the state. According to the California Child Care Resource & Referral Network, over 60% of California children under age 12 live in households where all available parents are in the workforce, yet licensed care is only available for about 25% of them. That gap leaves many families scrambling for support they can’t always afford.
