At Catalyst Kids, we believe every child deserves a safe, enriching space to learn and grow. Many of our centers offer programs supported by California State Preschool Program (CSPP) funding, making quality early education affordable and accessible to families in our community.
This state-funded initiative provides no-cost or reduced-cost preschool for eligible families. Whether you are looking for a nurturing classroom environment or need help navigating the application process, our team will help you explore your options with care and clarity. With Catalyst Kids, you can choose between part-day and full-day programs, depending on what works best for your schedule and needs.
How Do You Qualify?
Qualifying is simpler than it may seem. There are two things we look at:
Does your family qualify?
Eligibility
Your family may qualify based on your income and current situation. You may be eligible if you:
- Meet income guidelines for your family size
- Receive public assistance like CalWORKs or SSI
- Are experiencing homelessness (including staying with others or in temporary housing)
- Have a child who is at risk or receiving protective services
Even if you're not sure, we encourage you to reach out, as many families are surprised to learn that they qualify.
When do you need care during the day?
For full-day programs, we look at when and why care is needed during your day so we can match your family with the right schedule.
This may include:
- Working or actively looking for a job
- Going to school or participating in job training
- Being part of a program that supports your family’s stability
- Managing a health or personal situation that makes it difficult to provide care during the day
We’ll work with you to understand your schedule and determine the hours of care that best support your family.
